Re: "The Intel roadmap I see says that the Pentium II maxes out at 450, the Celeron A at 400, the Katmai intros at 450 then 500. .18u would be another thing. When will we see some .18u production cpus from Intel? What's the word from the pool? Do you think AMD doesn't have .18 in the works or do you think that AMDs technology is so far behind Intels that they will never get to .18u like Yousef thought they would never get to 333 or 350? <G>"

Come on Jim, you're no dummy. You know I can't reveal everything I hear on the Intel private thread. Of course AMD is working on .18u, any fool can surmise that, but they were late with .25u so, lacking funds, it stands to reason they are not likely to close the gap going to .18u. Intel on the other hand, is a company which actually makes money and therefore has funds to pour into R&D. Keep an eye on the bottom line because that's where the funds come from to develop new technology. Have you noticed the color of AMD's bottom line for the last few quarters? Care to hazzard a guess what that bodes for the future?
