I am not a pure shorter.
But I do like to short when I see apparently over-valued stocks.

My experience on margin/option is about 2 years. Play everything from buy/short, covered calls/puts, naked calls/puts.

I agree that it's getting more difficult to make money when people are getting smarter and the market is getting less and less predictable.

So many people are hedging, you could not tell the overall marketing trend by just looking at the indexes.

I find that you just have to stick to what you believe in and learn to take loss/profit when you are sure that you made the wrong/right decision. And you can win in the long term.
