If you want with your human flesh and reasoning to take some meaning from the Bible, you do so at your own risk. Heavenly wisdom can only come from God, so pray for God to send his spirit to reveal His Word to your heart. It's the only way that His Word can be spiritually beneficial. How convenient. But then, if this is so, all the people who are against abortion rights and homosexuality, etc., etc., based on what they think they have read in the bible, are against these things at their own risk? What if God "reveals His Word" to your heart, and then to my heart, and you swear the revelation is green while I swear the revelation is blue? Who is right?
