You may be right. Companies will have less discretionary spending. However they will need to have up to date IT systems to survive in a more competitive world. There is still a place for INPR products.

The world economies are much worse off than last November.
Last November the DOW was around 7200!!! And it will go
lower, if the Dow drops another 1000 points, anyone think
Inprise will be the investment of choice in a market
racing for safety.

But this may be fortunate for Inprise. As companies take
a dive in value and earnings they will be looking for
super cost savings...and in the software business I don't
believe anyone can touch Inprise's up and coming tools sets
for cost effective software design. With the year 2000 problems
coming up, alot of legacy systems will need to be reworked and
many of those are not rocket science, but purely coding tasks.
Once Inprise reaches critical mass, I think it could be the
darling of the industry again...but not for another year or two...
