this may or maynot be be an indicator of anything, but it should be noted that our favorite custom goldsmith/ jeweler has applied for a change in zoning so that he can also conduct a pawn shop business through his existing location.
Suspect he will be able to buy gold and jewels at a better cost used than new. May even be trying to compete (in a different way) with ol 49r and other recyclers. Will try to stop by and get a better gage later today.

Ole 49er - that's one answer, a whole raft of answers in fact. The answer must lie in trading volumes and I wonder if you have an answer to that? Obviously some peolple are buying gold - but how many? There's the rub. E
