Randall thanks for your well thought out post. Shorting a less than $1 stock is extremely dangerous unless one has an ace in the hole. The risk/reward is terrible for that bet if just a guess. GPGI could easily get a buyout or JV offer that moves the price to $5 or more overnight. People have gotten seriously burned shorting stocks even like AOL where there is lots of room on the downside. Most of the short attacks for penny stocks leverage real internal company problems, usually a sure bet. What could be the "ace in the hole"? There are a few that I can speculate about. The first is that the recovery cost is actually higher than published. Another could be a refining problem. There may be regulatory issues that grind GPGI down. I guess what I'm saying is that there may be items that we don't have specific knowledge. Because of the risk/reward shorts usually do better research than longs and are very smart. I sure hope it's not shorting that's pressuring the stock.

Great intuitative post ...Randall! RE:<<.. can easily see how a negative opinion would prevail of GPGI among Canadian
brokers dealing with hard mining stocks because of its identification with the DD's. I
think such a broker could easily think he is pretty damn smart right now, and he is as
interested in selling at 40 cents as at $2 or $1. His game has to be carried to
completion...>> I have been lurking at the IPM thread lately durring my busy couple of weeks of claim renewals which is now behind me(us-man of us thank you all very much) now. Over there, there is talk about new Canadian Labs testing...I will take it one step further. The Canadian Labs are doing the testing. That side of the Eagletail Mountains is more complex than the Fourth of July Butte Basin side where I have some claims with free milling gold in a know prior gold mining district and a know rockhound area. So - I say those IPM assay test are leaking out as a BUST..nada, nil, zilch because of the known Canadian RULE of conventional SFA being used on a Non Modified Basis. The folk running IPM now are so deplorable that they probably sent a batch to be tested up to Canada with NO BASIS of thought about the SFA proticals. No forthought and no thing but their famous date throwing at the wall, ala to see if the sheet of paper sticks ! Spitball, testing is what IPM was famous for. Dirtball Financing based on nothing of sunstance but creative financing and suckered terms. (...get me going...) Stop. Leaks say IPM is a flop. Cannacord in Canada is part of T Hoare ( Remember they did that July Report LAST YEAY on BOTH Gippy and IPM!) thus, all the info that Canucks need is sitting with Mike McKay...but theu never thought to ask him! Jerks...( them- not us...I hear a rumor that a thread founder bot up some more yesterday ...just on principle- and he just is that way!...sorry to so state facts and intitution but the trend is your friend... SOMETIMES...NEWTECHTIMES WILL WORK...!!! !
Chuca
P.S.- Bob, I have no way to answer you publically on such, I have emailed you my phone numbers, but the fact is...I was lead there ( to the Oro Pilre ) by a threader. If you want specifics on my 9 our first group) claims at Wickenburg as I can easily direct to the Desert Cabellareous Museum and the Gold Nugget! But, they are 40 miles + apart. I spent 111 weeks in Az in the last 13 months, it is not a place to visit ...for less than a month... at a time...IMHO. Yes, a week is better than a few days! Tour guy ? If he is there ...he may email you..if he does say hi and thanks from my and Mine. If you want to see the Fourth of July Butte or the Plain - that I can even give public info on as BLM called yesterday and told me that the over 10,000 acres that our 3 groups have put together in that time with all Arizona as our targets in a 100 mile spread...is ... ALL RENEWED! ...Subject to the $33 fee the US Department of the Interior- BLM- Bureau of Land Management- put on my Visa ...yesterday...THEY ACTUALLY CALLED for the money! A twist on show me the money! A Canadian Shorter ...Call or put up- they will looose here in this doomed attempth at greed and fear!

Randall: Very thoughtful analysis. I say that because it jives with my opinion <vbg> expressed previously on this thread that one or more MM's is shorting this issue.
