BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Internet Media Corporation
(IMCOR) (OTC-Bulletin Board: USRF) announced today that it has entered into a
web hosting agreement with Porpoise Network Incorporated (PNI), a Santa
Barbara, CA-based web hosting and domain name service company. As IMCOR
completes planned acquisitions of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), it is
expected that IMCOR will transfer the associated web-hosting services to PNI.
"This agreement with Porpoise Network is just the first step in
implementing our strategy that will enable us to consolidate the operational
components of our expected ISP acquisitions, resulting in reduced per-customer
costs," said David Loflin, President of IMCOR. "By shifting web hosting
activities to a single outside company, we should be able to eliminate
immediately a portion of the operational costs of each acquired ISP, while
continuing to generate positive cash flow from the web hosting customers in
place," Mr. Loflin continued.
When asked for comment, Geoff Newlan, President of PNI, said, "We are very
excited to become associated with an up-and-coming Internet company that has
such a dynamic product as its Wireless Internet system. Already, we have
enjoyed our association with Internet Media and expect that our services
will be of great assistance as it consolidates its operations."
USRF's technology is completely non-reliant on a hard-wire telephone line
or cellular telephone system. It enables constant and mobile access to the
Internet from any PC or laptop within the company's transmission area, at
speeds ranging from two to 10 times faster than normal dial-up access.
