Polls can also be baked. They have at their discretion to discard responses that they deem incomplete, invalid, etc. because of respondent error, unrepresentative sample (too few collected from a given area), etc. Any number of rationale that a given response or group of responses are invalid can be reason to throw them out. The final result is not necessarily the same as the collected result.
