I did sell one bad pick to shelter the normal 3K, but no, for the most part, my gains will not be taxed due to other, non stock, circumstances. My other sale was Coherent (symbol COHR) which disappointed me greatly this past year. It blamed all on Asia, but I am not convinced. Brian, I continue to hold Lam Research, though it is down from my basis of about 24. I do wish I owned AMAT instead, but expect to see a substantial profit a few years out (but I do wish Cary would come back and reassure me from time to time.) I do have to admit, that the oil service sector (RIG in particular) is making me want to tap my profits for another go 'round. Something about falling knives, though..... Good luck to all. J
