It is true that all cultures have guidlelines as to what is right and wrong. However, those guidlelines change over time, and what is right today, might not be right and acceptable tomorrow. Truth is the truth and is not changeable, but different people have different perspectives of what that truth is. something like the old cop TV shows, where five people seee a crime, but have five different versions of what actually happened. they all believe that their version of the truth is the right one, and they are all right to some degree.

I am not saying that just because nothing is truly inappropriate given that persons model of the world, that they are unaccountable for their actions. their model of the world may be seriously deranged and harmful to society. People are always accountable for their actions.
I just think it is a great question and extremely thought provoking.

It is also very good for causing loud arguments at dinner parties:-)
