Hi Greg:
Congratulations on your market calls on Lu and csco and others of last few weeks. You have called those better than anyone I know.
I guess being retired lets one back off from the fire and get a clearer picture. If you have taken your own advise should be doing well. My broker is not a happy camper in this market. My guess he is
on the phone a lot explaining to some very rich people why their accounts are down for the year. They will lose a few of those accounts. IMO All this market action just confirms the importance of
knowing as much as possible about a few stocks as opposed to gross diversification which limits the upside.
And Dell is still up a little bit????200%? for the year(G)
Sig.

*** "The single most important factor in investing is time. It's not stock-picking and certainly not market timing - trying to guess the short-term direction of stocks. The trick, if you can call it that, is to buy a piece of a great corporation and become a partner in its growth over a long, long period. But buying a single stock is a big risk. Long-term investors need diversification - at least eight stocks in different industries. And you have to try to pick companies with bright future prospects - strong balance sheets, a history of good management and a taste for flexibility." ***
