Not true - E was low because of recession and because IBM had a -$12/share loss. P was not excessively high.

In a recession E is low, or even negative. P/E appears high, or even negative. Does not mean P is high, E is low.

Show me a yahoo or amazon in 93!

Investors could take the money they piled into amazon and probably build 100 low margin booksellers on the internet.

92-93 was not preceded by a 3 year 250% growth in the SPX.
