Tellabs Inc. (TLAB) 57 13/16: designer and manufacturer of voice and data transport and access systems and CIENA Corp. (CIEN 30 13/16) renegotiated their merger terms; according to new terms, CIENA shares will be exchanged at the ratio of 0.8 shares of Tellabs common stock for each share of CIENA share; previously, the exchange ratio was 1-to-1; see press release..... Merrill Lynch upgrade of Chrysler (C), and PaineWebber upgrade of Ford (F) and General Motors (GM).. ---------- Fred just told me not to worry about his parabolic buy signal....it way up from where we are now...
