Let's look at the 'news'. I have addressed this before.

Dell and his wife Susan sold 1.25 million shares valued at more than $108 million ... Impressive, no doubt. Seems like a lot. Does the article mention that he continues to hold one hundred million shares? Nowhere that I read.

... on May 26 thru 28 ... Uh... did I say "news"? Correct me, if I'm mistaken, but isn't MAY history now?

... and he planned to sell another 2.1 million shares worth about $249 million around August 21. ... First, he sells some every quarter, after earnings. Second, after September 4th, he will still only hold about two hundred million shares.

Now, please. Can you tell me that this article is telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? Does it appear slanted to you--in any way? Shall we laud the authors of the article for their objectivity? Is it
a) merely sloppy research?
b) truly sensational news?
c) carefully architectured to reflect true situations in the worst possible conceivable light at what might be considered a highly vulnerable time, even dredging up past history to increase the impact?

your call.

Stockman,

Sorry, I tried to get this edit in, but time had expired. You said
"I don't think anyone can influence the stock direction here, please control your emotion. How about top brass selling?"

Let's look at the 'news' unemotionally. I have addressed this before. The article said...

Dell and his wife Susan sold 1.25 million shares valued at more than $108 million ... Impressive, no doubt. Seems like a lot. Does the article mention that he continued to hold more than one hundred million shares? Nowhere that I read.

According to this URL, he held 100,410,552 shares as of 23 June, after the May sale.
biz.yahoo.com
We don't know how many shares his wife, Susan held, and we don't know how many more shares he has picked up due to options.

... on May 26 thru 28 ... Uh... did I say "news"? Correct me, if I'm mistaken, but isn't this the end of August? Isn't MAY history now? As if this hasn't been posted before?

... and he planned to sell another 2.1 million shares worth about $249 million around August 21. ... First, he sells some every quarter, after earnings. Second, after September 4th, he will still only hold about two hundred million shares (196,621,104), not counting new options.

Now, please. Can you tell me that this article is telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? Is this the epitome of journalistic objectivity, in-depth research, and impartiality? Or does it have an agenda? Does it appear slanted to you--in any way? Shall we
a) laud the authors of the article for their objectivity?
b) merely consider the research sloppy and incomplete?
c) consider the article to be truly pertinent and sensational news?
d) consider the possibility that the article was carefully architectured to selectively reflect true data in the worst possible conceivable light at what might be considered a highly vulnerable time, even dredging up past history to increase the impact?

your call. I call it scummy, sleazy, and manipulative.
