re: softcash & Y2K

Likely has no practical experience with enterprise Y2K issues from the vantage point of IS management and unlikely to have sold for any of these hw/sw companies.

Now, just to be sure NO ONE ELSE misrepresents my comments, I like BEAS, its management, its products, its strategy and its future (beyond 2000).

You'll be able to buy it much cheaper. Be patient.

Killing the wounded

for softcash -- from Fleckenstein last Friday (www.stocksite.com).

<The Japanese 10-year bonds (JBG) closed at a yield of 1.06 percent. Talk about low interest rates; that certainly hasn't helped the market.>

Guess I'd have to agree there, wouldn't you?

As for BEAS, it has reached $15 WELL AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. I hadn't anticipated this level until late this year. What does it mean? It means lower still. We are likely to see $12 by the end of September. It may be below $10 by yearend.

I never thought I'd be saying that. Less than 6 months ago I was holding it at $28.5, was up a couple hundred grand and thought the world was a swell place. Guess it was just a swollen place...
