With all due respect, I don't put a lot of weight in "consensus", as the best predictor. Although I have not always had the most accurate crystal ball, my experience has frequently proven that the contrarian approach is the most fruitful. I agree that there are data to support your position. I also think that surprises are more common than not. It doesn't take atomic bombs to change the political and economic reality underlying the price of oil and gas. In the short run, you may be very correct but I am not as convinced that we're stuck with cheap oil through 2005-10. In fact, I seriously doubt that this will be the case. Paul L. Craig
