This only happens to men's shoes. My laces never do that, but Ammo's are disgusting globs of stringy knots and the shoes are all misshapen from being forced on, although strangely, they often untie after he has them on. I think kids today have much bigger feet than past generations--Ammo's are 11 1/2 and he's only 5'8" so far. Dan is 6'1" and 10 1/2. It must be the diet of McDonald's and pizza.

Wish it were so. After three months, my my my laces get the "wanders". Must be the continuous fine aerosol of silicone oil in the lab. Also explains my used-Buick-salesman good looks...
So my laces get to where every two weeks they go loose - regardless of how tightly or not I cinch them up. At the end of the shoe's life the crucial inch if the lace gets this polished appearance - like a surfer's shin.
You know Helen will thank me for all this one day!
