Good observation. I don't know how many times I've seen the number "1929" over the past few days. What's just unbelievable to me is that many of the bears seem to want a 1929-like scenario to happen.

Best wishes,

I2

MrGreenJeans,

>>>
I am proposing that when this market hits new all time highs later this year we repost the most bearish messages during this time period so we can all share in a good laugh and expose those who feign to be market experts on these threads!
>>>

Agreed.

Cough. Cough. Justa and I have just finished our meeting in the Investment Club cigar room. Instead of smoking our usual Churchill' s we chose Monica's this time. Ha!

Justa and I would like you to be our Chief Archivist of Silly Posts for the thread. Let us know if you accept this most honored position.

As you know this position automatically makes you eligible for level 2 prizes.

MrGreenJeans,re <my observations>

Looking around on the net at the level of unmitigated panic going on that surprises me over a mid teens correction so far I must say your posts here and on the other thread are the best and most relevant I have seen in terms of proper perspective. I am getting the strong feeling that if the Russia political news which seems to change hourly isn't great overnight we may see some tremendous selling in the morning and at least briefly we may see some extraordinary values for a long term investor. If even under the very unlikely circumstance we briefly reach bear market % losses I think the Fed may step up quickly and cut rates and once investors see the world isn't coming to an end cash should rapidly flow back into the market fueling a big rally and this seems to me to be the worse case scenario. This is the first time in years that investors including Bob Brinker followers are really being tested a bit and it looks like after years of profitable complacency only the strong will stay standing. I wonder if what has happened in the past may occur where we may see at least a Monday morning panic followed by a turnaround Tuesday
