Bruce.... you were doing pretty good...... until this part.... "At any rate that doesn't change the fact that God has preserved his Word and it is certainly more dependable than anything I know, especially the stock market.".... this is the great leap of faith... assumption???.... reminds me of a story....

A protestant preacher visiting with Brigham Young and observing the great LDS success in the Salt Lake Valley remarked, "My oh my... look what a wonderful work GOD has done with this valley".... with a twinkle in his eye Brother Brigham replied, "Well.... you should have seen what he had done with it before we got here". (you may remember frontiersmen laughed at the LDS settling the Salt Lake valley for its lack of any kind of habitability.... yes the LDS were the first to implement irrigation in the USA and to politically oppose slavery)

The point being, it takes the hands of men to do God's work.... whether preserving the Bible or bringing forth a colony in the wilderness.... just about any Encyclopedia I know validates my prior writings on Constantine's Cronies and their impact on the KJV biblical text to suit the political unification of the disparate Chritian beliefs and practices of the times.... many plain and precious truths were removed to accomodate the apostate culture which had evolved without the advantage of living Prophets.... the dead sea scrolls testify to the abridgement of God's word known as the KJV or Constatine Bible... they are one in the same... No I do not believe that God preserved his Word.... but, that, a pagan culture did and added to and subtracted there from to accommodate the social doctrines of the day.... but, Bruce... you don't have to take my word for it or any of the hundreds of biblical scholars that have written on this subject over the past two millenia.... you have your free agency.... the proof is in the fruit... several hundred various christian creeds spanning the globe... glaringly similar to the hundreds of creeds Constntine tried to unite with his abridgement of the facts/truths... when one tries to be all things to all people something gets lost in the translation.... so what we have today is a hodge podge of christian truth, folklore and sophistry all parading together as Christianity.... no, God didn't preserve his word... abunch of pagan apostates did.... do you believe them??? I sure don't....
