Bill, there is still too much complacency. The dipsters have been conditioned to ignore fear and buy the dip. We won't see a decent tradeable bottom till we get a decent blow-out fear bottom IMHO. This mornings man on the street interviews displayed no such fear as most were saying buying opportunity. This was a completely different case on October 27th and June 15th.

This is a bear market. Bull market supports and uptrendlines have been taken out. Fundamentals locally and internationally have been deteriorating since 8/97.

Crash type scenario is possible. The fundies sell programs may kick in after a certain time frame below the 200 dma on the spx.
