Here's a VERY non-technical explanation of the difference between BRCM and CUBE. Both are in the broadband business, but each works on different ends. CUBE compresses the data so it can fit through the wires easier, and then decompresses it on the other end so it can be viewed. BRCM effectively makes the wires fatter so more data can pass through. Both are important steps in building the next generation of information and communication products.
