>>I think you'll be surprised how low stocks can go now.<<

Me? Surprised?

No, I was bearish since Alan Greenspan's excerbrant speech and I still believe I was right then. Given that the stock market always overshort in either direction, I don't think Dow 5000 is impossible.

I was consistently right in the short side, although my timing was less than perfect but I got guts to stick on. I made money in almost all my shorts until with these Internet stocks. Currently I'm still holding 1000 shares AMZN short and determined to ride it down to at least under 50.

I know you were AMZN bull and conglatuate you for exiting at 112.

Scary. I sold all my longs this morning. The only long position I have is in Cisco through my stock options. Do you think we are
in a bear market ? You've been through a bear market. What signs do
you see that point to it ? The interest rate environment is favourable, commodity prices are low , boomers still plowing money into 401ks, US economy is in great shape. These don't add up to a
bear market but having been caught in wrong side of the semi-equip
debacle I decided preservation of capital was paramount.

Thanks

Wiiliam, i sold some at the open and the rest at 109 and change today and my other high risk stocks. I wouldn't of sold if it wasn't for this economic mess i see developing overseas and no one seems to have a solution for it yet. Not good. Perhaps this is the end of the Bull for awhile. It has been a good ride up until now. Still holding onto my Dell and a few Dow Dog Stocks for long-term capital appreciation. Looking to get back in when the dust settles. Wise move to get out of the way for now.
