there's a difference between saying the company's great, the financials look great, etc.(which are protected expressions of opinion) and saying salesmen are leaving in droves (a purported fact), the 10K is being investigated by the SEC (a purported fact), etc. Due diligence can deal with the former much easier than a scare tactic rumor which is the latter because by the time something is checked out it may be too late - and that's what the conspirators count on(when there is a conspiracy). If any of you think that such conspiracies don't exist...well, I feel sorry for you!

If you can't tell the difference that's OK; those who do know the difference and have reason to look for concerted (in concert means more than 1 individual) attempts to drive the price one way or another, those folks will make the case or not as circumstances warrant.

Perhaps in time I'll have the last laugh...we shall see.
