Ok, after covering AMZN at 108 1/2, I reshorted at 108 9/16. Then I shorted more at 108 3/4. Covered it all at 108, and was disgusted to see AMZN drop to 105 area. I shorted twice before the close with my average around 105 3/8.

Anyone remember that tv game show Press Your Luck? That's what I feel like I am doing shorting AMZN after a 30 point drop in the last few days. Internets looked really weak. AOL couldn't rally in the face of positive news. AMZN couldn't hold it's 50 DMA. 100 DMA is around 91 I believe. I think we can have more downside.

No whammies! No whammies! No whammies!

I plan to spend a good part of this weekend screening stocks and doing research. IIn the face of all this uncertainty, it's time to sell insurance and lottery tickets (puts and calls

Rob, Keep me in your loop!! :))

I have learned in the past 7 weeks that trading a small box was "almost a sure thing"; as long as volatility(swings) continues, then the competitive advantage of trading an existing small box remains.

The net(realized) gain for the 100 shares box trading is $7,100 for 7 weeks. The "box"; long@$43/short@$50, is a "description" only. For example, last time I left this box open at $124 on Thursday, when I buy next time(week) I will "realize(not on paper)" a profit.

Whenever the 100 shares "box" is closed, the net "paper gain" is $700. ($50-$43). If I do not buy 100 shares to close this "box" until Amzn is $50; then my maximum future profit opportunity is only $124 - $43 = $8,100. (assums Amzn drops to $50). But if I trade....

My second 100 short shares @$134 3/4, can be treated/traded the same way.

We all have some "pre-dispositioned" positions in regards to Amzn and different resources/objectives. I think the above serves as one of the avenues for small profit oppt. with minimum exposure.

As to the bigger(real money) opportunity/plays......
