To All, 1. One for the ages on CNBS this morning. First, the talking bubble heads spent the pre-market opening period complaining about Abelson's comment in Barron's that the "B" in CNBC stood for "Bullish." Then, to prove themselves hypocrites, after the opening, the always buy at the top commentator, Maria Bararoamin', came on to tell us that, though the Dow was up 41 points, we hadn't seen anything yet. "As soon as J.P Morgan opens, this Dow will really jump up." Great call so far. <VBG>

2. Bullish indicator. Jim Cramer has finally turned bearish. Like all trend followers, he arrives at the party late and has to drink the punch after I've already soaked my feet in it. <G> He says the market is like 1990 and that Byron Wien will be the only strategist left after the dust settles. His break from Abby Jo also scares me. But, as I said, these trend follower TA types catch the bus along the route and then come back to the same spot without ever making any money, so I'm not desperately worried by having the Everwrong Bunny on my side.

3. Personal note. I was awesome at the track last night. Not only did my bets win, but I won the drawing for the 60 seconds free wagering contest. Again. If they draw your name, you get 60 seconds to place as many $2 bets as possible. I broke my old record by racking up $116 in vouchers. I got $112 last time. They only paid off $102, but I used a shotgun approach, betting every horse in a race. Last time I only won $37 as all the favorites came in. This time, I got a good long shot on the last race. People always say I talk too fast. Well, there are activities where that is a positive. <G>

Good Luck,

MB
