John,
I did an essay on the '29 crash (had to do research first) and have read some books on the '87. I never experienced a crash and look forward to seeing one. In order to have a panic, the media has to go full force. Now with the anniversary of Princes Die coming Monday, do you really think they will devote any time on market movements? The thing is in a bear market, going short on any stock should bring you money. If you short companies that should go down no matter what happens to the market (something that's hard to predict), the it shouldn't matter.
See you,
Marty
