Brooke:

Has anyone tried using Auto Update since downloading the August 25 version of QP2? Auto Update downloads via the 800 number. My Auto Update no longer dials out. The Internet Downloader works fine, though. Auto Update worked fine before I installed the August 25 version. I've tried it on two computers, with no luck.

I had the same problem last night after installing the CCI update. I got "0G" in the Communications window and an immediate "0 files downloaded" in the Message window. There was no effort to dial out.

I called Janene in Tech Support, who suggested I reload the QP2 PROGRAM files (not the stock DATA) from the CD, then make sure the Subscription tab on the Setup dialog box was checked properly.

It worked after that, but of course I have no CCI indicator.

Good luck!

RS

Brooke--I just signed up with QP+(that means I will be bugging you more) and have not been able to download with either system. I called Tech support today and they said I was ready for the 800 # and need to check my com port which I did and corrected it. However, now when the 800 number dials and connects it tells me I have the wrong password for logging on. I hate it that tech support is closed for the weekend. One of the advantages of TCpro was there greater availability. Does Gary Lyben talk on SI on the weekends? Anyways, I am relieved that I am not alone and it is not something I am doing wrong. Regards, Myron
