Someone, I think on the AMAT thread, commented that "buy the dips" has given way to "sell the rallys."

Stock funds are seeing net outflows, while money funds are seeing huge inflows. Joe Sixpack may not be taking his money out, but he isn't putting more money in, either.

In previous dips, the talking heads enthusiastically talked about "buying opportunities," but today the CNN analyst talked about the danger of trying to catch a falling safe. Not exactly likely to inspire confidence in the average investor.

Once the talking heads start discussing strategies for preserving your principal in a bear market, it'll be time to buy.
