Your statement would be true if the world had only shell, Exxon, Texaco. Fortunately, we also have Mr. Russia, Mr. Mid East and others who are greedy enough to keep Mr. Shell,Exxon and Texaco in check. Like I stated before, if monopoly truly formed, I am for break them up. But before that happens, IMHO, the most efficient way to manage greed is greed itself.

Like you, I hate ATM fees. But I rarely use ATM since I depend on VISA and MASTER's greed to live without the need of cash. I am sure that there are other method to avoid ATM fees. Free market is about free choice not free goods and services. Be creative.
