Some comments: since I no longer call almost every day as I did for years, I do not have a "clear" idea of what might be happening. However since Ken is still there and the price has gone up in the face of a monstrous bear market beginning, I have to believe someone really does believe a deal is more likely than not. We have all been hoping for one for so long, it will be almost an anticlimax if they get one, unless it is pretty impressive. However the issuance of a financing suggests something good in the pipeline since they have loaded the barrels again and I would presume for a reason. That having been said, I would not buy shares back again. I agree with the "once burned, twice shy" quotation. I have also come to agree with Harwood's basic notion that the corporate culture of the vse listed companies involves a lot of selling of stories. The big plus is that I remain convinced that the geology offers a tremendous potential gas hit. I have believed and continue to believe that. Still, there are too many holes in how it has been managed to give me any further enthusiasm and if I owned it I would sell into the next rally. One point correctly made has been that there have been multiple opportunities to double your money. I took some and missed some. Everyone has had these however. Anyone who bought at .25 could have sold in the last few days at .40 or so for a good percentage gain. Hopefully they will put some kind of deal to bed and a real run will materialize. But and it is a rather big but, the bear market has begun and in my opinion will exceed l929 in scope. People will be using less gas, less heating. Commodity prices could collapse. People may need to sell anything to pay their bills including their stocks. I believe everyone should express their views freely on these chat lines and disapprove of personal attacks. I do not think others should be directly quoted. However one thing is clear about these chat lines and that is that the "rules" are ill defined and being worked out as people go along. I found the thread helpful in understanding this play. My personal preference at this point in the economic cycle are gold shares with proven high ounces per share and already in production. Good luck to all.
