From what I've seen, today was a lot better on the small cap front, indicating that many stocks may have bottomed. THQI had good volume and for the first time in days, didn't close at the lows. In fact, it closed well above the low. And on an uptick, FWIW. Other small caps I've been following were either positive for the day, like NCES and PMCS, or well off the lows, like VSAT. And some big cap stalwarts like Ford and GM were up for the day. Of course with falling oil prices, the airlines were up big too. More important for our purposes, in the video game industry, BROD, GTIS, and ATVI were all up slightly on the day.

Buying THQI at these levels at this time of the year reminds me of the old Jimmy Rogers quote (you know, the guy with the bow tie), "I just wait until there is money lying in the corner and all I have to do is go over there and pick it up."

In fact, his interview in Market Wizards (Jack Schwager, 1989) seems to be must reading for speculators who don't dart in and out, but rather make big bets at what seem like very reasonable prices/moments.

A few more quotes from page 287:

"You will see hysteria in the charts. When I see hysteria, I usually like to take a look to see if I shouldn't be going the other way."

Question: In the midst of it all, or do you wait for some sign of an end to the move, for example, a reversal day?

"No, I don't know about reversal days."

Anyway, this is why I feel comfortable recommending THQI at these levels to widows, and orphans. Widowers too.
