Good question. It's really like the warrant situation, the query being whether dilution becomes applicable only when the actual dilution can occur. While an accountant can answer this, I think that to knowledgeable traders and investors this is moot, because the dilution for the preferred (and possibly the warrants) is going to be factored in no matter what the company, PR folks, or invested promoters assert at a given time. However, there will surely be a large residue of uninformed speculators who'll get excited by the qtr 3 earnings and likely fuel a boost in the stock's price.
