Also, traditionally, drilling picks up in the 4 th quarter. This certainly can't hurt.

One other item that might help next week...anyone remember that item a couple of weeks ago that the Saudis had notified its customers that September crude liftings would be reduced by 18% ?. Never saw anything further about it so the obvious question...18% from what ?...was never answered. Any news that Saudi production is being taken lower starting Tuesday would certainly help.

That said, any rally in OS companies will be short-lived unless accompanied by a sustained upmove in crude prices. Crude has really been in a trading range since mid-June(12.50 - 14.50). Need to break out of that range to build momentum in this sector.
