Canadian dollar and Gold rallies

It is my thinking that a turn in the gold market will be "real" if or when the Canadian dollar turns up against the US $.

Canada has a very small population of about 24 million and her economy is primarily resource based. If money starts flowing into resources this should be reflected in Canadian resource issues
which are priced in C $ . The purchase of C$ assets will require the sale of other currencies and the purchase of C$ and hence the rise of the Canadian $ v. others. I suspect the same will be true of the
Australian $ also.

In all gold rallies that I've watched, there never has been a C$ rise along with the gold price; if Friday's price rise in the C$ is matched by gold, it think the move will be legitimate. One interesting note is that the Canadian$, Australian $, and British Pounds are now in backwardation. The backwardation of the Pound and Canadian $ is extreme. Maybe a short squeeze in the C$ and gold is in the offing. A lot of hedge funds are trying to book profits, hmmm?

Durban Deep's profits were UP 300%for the quarter ending June.
What folks/people don't understand about the South African shares is
that they pay their expenses in Rands [local currency] and sell their product in foreign currency ie US$. The profits can be really nice even with a LOW gold price. I have said all along that if the share price is trashed with a falling market [crash] you will still participate in the FUN by the dividend that the SA mines traditionally pay usually 90% of the profits.
NOW FOR THE REAL FUN- if and when we get a rising gold price the
share price could and will go BILLISTIC! I am talkin about
from $1.65 now to $50 in the next two years then on to $400-$500 in the next 4-5 years. This ain't no dream, jest putting the FACTS in perspective. NUFF SAID!!
