NYSE:BT (Banker Trust) has exposure to Latin America, Asia, Middle East, ...etc. in their August 10K:

sec.gov

and they appear to have a more precarious position than most other banks since they spread themselves out too thin. This bank acts more like a hedge fund than a bank. That makes them dangerous!

-IMO- Good short, too bad I didn't find this one earlier but still has room on the downside.

I choose YHOO and AOL as companies that if we have a one day huge drop will offer a better return on a short position than many other companies. In a slow steady drop, I agree with your analysis and I would choose others such as BT, S, GTW, VNT, AES, but I still don't believe EK is ready yet. EK would probably need a huge drop in the Dow for it to lose it's current market favor.

Banks will be out of favor Tuesday. The market as a whole should drop Tuesday through Friday of this coming week.
