Barb, Holy cow!! I posted my suspicions of just this on the MRVC thread in response to the hype that all the insiders were big buyers. I tried to tell them that this information is not real time, and the selling that I bet was there would not show up in the publicly filed forms for a month or two. Great work for finding that!! Cube

Insider sellings. The insider sells back in 97 was during a secondary offering. Check and see how many shares these insiders own. They probably should have sold more at those levels. While the little investors are whining about losing a few thousands. These folks have lost tens of millions by not selling a larger percentage of their holdings. Stop whinning and put your feet and their shoes for a moment. How would you feel if you lost tens of millions overnight?

Barb: Just for the record those 500K shares sold by management on 9/27 were announced on Wednesday, June 25, 11:35 PM EDT when MRVC press release states "MRV Communications files for offering of 2.555M shares of common stock"..."2M shares are being offered by the company and 550,000 shares by certain shareholders". MRVC stock on 6/27 was 29 5/16. I don't think that officers of a company that receive $100K salaries and hold many millions of shares (can't locate exact number) may not, at times, sell shares (stock options) as a reward for stock appreciation. Ron However, if they sold in August of this year, I will really be very upset. Will know soon.
