One of the best, maybe the best, beers of M‚xico is called 'Bohemia', it comes in a funny little keg-shaped bottle like Modelo Negra. There's a little place two blocks due south of the Z¢calo in M‚xico where you pay high for the Bohemia, but they throw in a botana of ensalada de camar¢n with chiles and raw veggies in the French style, it's worth it.

Humbly report, EC, I vote for the name Bohemia.

Nice and simple, everyone can pronouce it, and all Czechs are bohemians anyway.

Czechia sounds too German (and we all know by now that most Czechs, including me, are alergic to any and all Germanizations of anything Bohemian/Czech/Moravian), and all your other suggestions are so convoluted that only spelling nuts would be able to do them justice.

Now, how can we convince everyone to adopt it?

As far as mead is concerned, I vaguely recall some old Czech myth where a bunch of women decided to live completely on their own, waged war on men Amazon style, and lured them into their traps with casks of mead. Kinda leaves a sour taste in my mouth. ;-)

Cheers,

Svejk
