Dear Dave,
I for one want you to feel welcome and be part of the DGIV family. The DGIV family is one which tries to support anyone who enters the thread and voices an opinion or a question in a honest and upfront manner.
I stumbled on DGIV in mid-March and have been reading and posting ever since. It's been one heck of a ride, but with all the hard work "the Family" has put in to keep us all up to date with the overall comunications industry and DGIV's place within it has keeps me coming back everyday. I see the values which I hold close coming out day after day by all the members of the family.
Way back I was given the title of Advance Scout, which in turn I would like to pass to you. You've gone above and beyond the call, spreading the word of DGIV to other threads.
Thanks Dave for all your hard work.

BillC(as a passenger I'll get to party with the stewardesses more hehehe #oo#)

Dave, you are definitely one of the "family," and more than that, you have shown some excellent DD skills. You also have your head squarely on your shoulders,

I am hesitant to become emotional when dealing with my money. I can forsee my tendency to become to attached/reliant upon what my friends think of DGIV, and less dependent on what I personally think of DGIV.

Always keep that in mind. It's fine to show emotions, as long as you keep them separate from your stock decisions, and don't depend on others for your decisions on DGIV or any stock. Easy to say, hard to do sometimes. You sure you are just a young guy? :-)

Welcome to the DGIV family Dave!!!

I believe we've chatted before I don't know if you still remember. Anyway, I would just like to welcome you to the DGIV family.

Don't forget to check with the stewardess...here's the link just incase you get lost.

P.S.

I hope none of you mind if from time to time I try to add a little feeling and emotions through my post by adding links that plays midis and sound waves. Just making use of the technology as well as putting a little twist on the so called traditional bulletin boards.

Dave,

For some reason, I thought you were already a part of the DGIV family. I never thought different. Seems I remember a particular night in chat when several of us told you age didn't matter and welcomed you with open arms. We discussed your school for this year and several other aspects of your investing life. To me, when others of us took you "under our wings" so to speak, it meant you were a part of our family. But, if there is still any lingering doubt...

Welcome Dave! {{{{{{{Dave}}}}}}} (if your gonna be here, you gotta be able to handle the hugs! If you can't, then I can't post to you!)

I am sooooo glad you are here. Young? Great! Young minds bring a fresh perspective to the thread...just like "female" minds do! <gg>

Take care and have a great evening!

LCDR E'Lane....

Well, it appears that you have been OFFICIALLY...

WELCOMED now Dave. And please accept another from the former Ship's Counselor and now Engineroom flunky for RocketMan (was that a promotion? LOL).

I, like E'Lane remember a certain night in the chatroom when a young man first made his appearance and we had quite a conversation, as I recall. I assume that school is gonna wait for that spring semester?

Though we try to have a lot of fun on this thread, we are all here because we have a huge interest in DGIV. The vast majority of us have done an awful lot of (sometimes painful) learning in the last few months... and some of that learning has to do with that topic of separating emotion from investment decisions.

Funny... my brother-in-law and I just had a similar conversation Friday night. He didn't want to join SI because he felt that if he posted to a bulletin board that he would become more attached to the stock and make less detached decisions because of the relationships formed on the bulletin board.

He has a point. I believe it is the same point you are trying to make.

On the other hand, the vast majority of us believe in DGIV. We believe that it is a great long term investment... not just good, but GREAT! For me, that is an unemotional evaluation. Unfortunately, we have been through the ringer the last few months. The reasons for the price drop are many and intertwined and I'm sure I don't understand them all, but I do know one thing. The support and sharing of dd done on this thread have allowed me to hang in there and keep my eyes focused on the future. It has allowed me to stay with DGIV and not leave prematurely (I expect) with a loss. I know that I am not alone in this belief.

I guess what I am saying is that it is the very rare individual that can divorce emotion from their hopes and their dreams, as represented by the stocks that they hold. That is probably magnified in the typical OTC stock and OTC investor. Because we are dealing with strong emotions, generated all on our own, we tend to be elated over a small price rise and devastated over a small price dip. We cannot help ourselves but watch every single tick, though we tell ourselves it is not wise. We are perfect targets of those that can manipulate the price of an OTC stock.

This thread has helped smooth the rollercoaster ride, both the emotional valleys and the peaks. I view that as a good thing. Personally, I combat the attachment that becomes natural by setting re-evaluation dates during which I coldly look at the facts in front of me and renew my decision to either buy, sell or hold.

Which view is right? Ah, that is the question...

Hmmmmm... looking around, it appears I've gotten myself back on the soaopbox. LOL. Sorry for the discourse. Now you know why I was originally made the Ship's Counselor. :-)

Anyway Dave, you've done some outstanding dd and I appreciate that you have shared it with us. RocketMan published a list (some time back) of items that made a Rocketeer... doing great dd and sharing it was one of the key points.

Welcome Dave...

Lazarus, LCDR of the good ship DGIV
