Well, it appears that you have been OFFICIALLY... WELCOMED now Dave. And please accept another from the former Ship's Counselor and now Engineroom flunky for RocketMan (was that a promotion? LOL). I, like E'Lane remember a certain night in the chatroom when a young man first made his appearance and we had quite a conversation, as I recall. I assume that school is gonna wait for that spring semester? Though we try to have a lot of fun on this thread, we are all here because we have a huge interest in DGIV. The vast majority of us have done an awful lot of (sometimes painful) learning in the last few months... and some of that learning has to do with that topic of separating emotion from investment decisions. Funny... my brother-in-law and I just had a similar conversation Friday night. He didn't want to join SI because he felt that if he posted to a bulletin board that he would become more attached to the stock and make less detached decisions because of the relationships formed on the bulletin board. He has a point. I believe it is the same point you are trying to make. On the other hand, the vast majority of us believe in DGIV. We believe that it is a great long term investment... not just good, but GREAT! For me, that is an unemotional evaluation. Unfortunately, we have been through the ringer the last few months. The reasons for the price drop are many and intertwined and I'm sure I don't understand them all, but I do know one thing. The support and sharing of dd done on this thread have allowed me to hang in there and keep my eyes focused on the future. It has allowed me to stay with DGIV and not leave prematurely (I expect) with a loss. I know that I am not alone in this belief. I guess what I am saying is that it is the very rare individual that can divorce emotion from their hopes and their dreams, as represented by the stocks that they hold. That is probably magnified in the typical OTC stock and OTC investor. Because we are dealing with strong emotions, generated all on our own, we tend to be elated over a small price rise and devastated over a small price dip. We cannot help ourselves but watch every single tick, though we tell ourselves it is not wise. We are perfect targets of those that can manipulate the price of an OTC stock. This thread has helped smooth the rollercoaster ride, both the emotional valleys and the peaks. I view that as a good thing. Personally, I combat the attachment that becomes natural by setting re-evaluation dates during which I coldly look at the facts in front of me and renew my decision to either buy, sell or hold. Which view is right? Ah, that is the question... Hmmmmm... looking around, it appears I've gotten myself back on the soaopbox. LOL. Sorry for the discourse. Now you know why I was originally made the Ship's Counselor. :-) Anyway Dave, you've done some outstanding dd and I appreciate that you have shared it with us. RocketMan published a list (some time back) of items that made a Rocketeer... doing great dd and sharing it was one of the key points. Welcome Dave... Lazarus, LCDR of the good ship DGIV
