Brian,

I have to tell you that I was going to add that I can't think of many worse places to put money now than in the cap. equips. Business is going to be horrendous, and even if the stock market recovers or stabilizes soon, the equips are face to face with the poor economic conditions of Asia. At a low enough price they will call for me to buy, or in the event of SURE signs of Japanese recovery. I am not sure what those signs would be, so I am essentially out, and grateful for the last irrational bounce in AMAT. My gut tells me I have at least a quarter or two wait for evidence of business growth. Buying sooner will only occur if prices drop much further. I am mainly referring to amat, nvls and klac. The small cap equips are cheap enough, but I am not interested.

With most of the world in recession, I don't want to own companies that sell very, very expensive products. How is that for simplifying the situation?
