You are babbling. How did AMAT enter into this. I suggest you take a deep breadth relax. I wont call you an IDIOT.

BTW, Do you know what package DELL uses for supply chaining. Also are you aware if the vendors in Asia have access to DELL's mfg infrastructure. Maybe you even have the knowledge of what type of systems DELL uses.

Good comments on the business models!

Dell does a good job doing "build to order" and for the most part does this in-house.

Cisco does this mostly by contract manufactures and is moving to a "sell and service" over the internet.

You are correct that Cisco has not even started, there is some room to tighten up the model. What is so beautiful about them is the internet sales and service. This will really lower their costs going forward.
