Boy, I bet you don't wanna say that to his face geocities.com

Torquemada got a bad rap, he was actually just a leading cat¢lico of the time, "the hammer of heretics, the light of Spain, the saviour of his country, the honour of his order". Any little oversight of human decency on his part was quite justified, since "At that time the purity of the Catholic Faith in Spain was in great danger from the numerous Marranos and Moriscos, who, for material considerations, became sham converts from Judaism and Mohammedanism to Christianity. The Marranos committed serious outrages against Christianity and endeavoured to judaize the whole of Spain..." knight.org

There is a much greater Inquistor than Torquemada and he need no help in knowing the depravity of sin in the human heart. In that horrible Inquisition of the Crucifixion 2000 years ago, the Jewish leaders were desperately Inquisitors seeking sins against the son of God, but found none. In the absence of authentic evidence and molded by the hand of fate, they called for his Curcifixion. The greates Inquisition of all time revealed and destroyed the sins of all mankind. Upon that Cross, the sins in their own hearts that they sought in Jesus poured upon Jesus. Jesus became sin that we could become the righteouness of God in Him.
That Jewish young man from the lineage of David had taken the sins of all men upon himself. He is the true glory of ancient Israel and a light and saviour for the whole world.
