Doug,

For some reason, you seem eager to discount every positive factor that NN has going for it, even to the point of taking its PSR out of context.

Specifically the street has awarded NN a PSR of 2.9 - 11.2 during the last 5 years. Having a current PSR of 3.41 is quite encouraging. During each of those 5 years, NN has increased Revenues Y/Y.

Would you care to disclose your current position in NN?

Doug,

Re certainty of earnings:

1. NN has largest backlog in its history.
2. Its Book to Bill is greater than 1.
3. It has a consistent track record of top line growth

(in millions)
1998 1997 1996 1995 1994 1993
Revenues 1132.0 986.0 676.7 590.4 399.6 242.0
Revenue Pct Chg 15 46 15 48 65 NA
(vs. Year Before)

4. The technology path is now clear to NN's customers and they've resumed buying.

What part of "This stock is going up" don't you understand? ;-)

Ian.

This discussion is about the certainty of earnings for the next Q in todays global market conditions. As I see it, these conditions have introduced more uncertainties for global players.

Doug --

When there is certainty of earnings in a specific company, NN in this case, why would you lean on a more nebulous indicator such as "global players" for the basis of your prognosis? I would certainly look at general indicators when lacking specific data, not the reverse.

Still catching up with posts.
