Re: "After Agnew's resignation, Nixon nominated Ford to be Vice-President. Ford was confirmed by the Senate, and he became President when Nixon resigned. Ford nominated Rockefeller to be Vice-President, and Rockefeller was confirmed by the Senate. "

RE: Rockefeller

Only a couple of minutiae:

(1) Ford and later Rockefeller were confirmed by a majority vote of both the House and the Senate in accordance with the provisions of the XXV Amendment to the Constitution (ratified in 1967).

(2) Nelson Rockefeller is widely reported to have died in 1979.
