Hal, Most here are equating free speech with the first amendment. I would like to make a distinction, to consider free speech on its own merits, apart from any governmental support for the notion. I think all the name calling is beside the point. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Let him say whatever he wants. If you're worried someone will believe him, make a counter. I'm not for book burning, no matter who the author is. Who is the judge of what is offensive? Someone judged John Galt offensive. Well, I happen to miss him, though I'm sure the Ask Godders don't miss him a bit. I really don't understand this way of dealing with people, to act the same way that they are accused of. p.s. I can't go along with the concept of being harassed on a thread. There is so much garbage out there, yet I seem to be able to wade through it with ease (i.e. don't click on any message that does not look interesting, for whatever reason). Skipper
