Pete, you are absolutely correct, a bear, correction, etc. applies to the entire market, not a sector or one's portfolio. All I was saying, that in the final analysis, one own portfolio really determines if one is in a bear, or correction. For example, if the market was down 25% (forebid), and my portfolio was down 2%, or up 5%, than I might say, what bear market? Just a point that I was making when everyone was trying to define the terms.
