Aaron, I believe it is Shanghai where I saw people wearing face masks to improve air quality. I follow the Zap bike company, and I know that some Asian countries are cracking down on motorcycle motors, for example, that pollute the environment, which creates a market for their products.

If we would all calm down about this issue, there would be plenty of opportunities for businesses to make money creating environmentally sound products. There is no realistic reason that money must be made promoting fossil fuel technologies, for example. I find that argument illogical and in fact hysterical, and am not sure why so many people are duped by the fossil fuel industry.

The prisoner's dilemma argument brings up the idea of buying and selling international pollution credits. While it is a shame to me that America might still pollute way in excess of its percentage of the population, using this method of reckoning would at least reduce overall pollution, yes?
