Hello everyone. I'm still here as well and feeling rested. Last week was my first week of telecommuting. It definitely beats the Portland, transfer planes somewhere, Nashville, rent a car, drive to Kentucky and reverse at end of week commute I had been doing since October. I still need to pick up some bunny slippers though. When I got home from my last week on location for the time being, it was the NXNW music festival in Portland with over three hundred bands playing at numerous clubs over three days. Being in the music industry on the side, I thought for sure that I'd be all over it. But when I got off the plane, I felt like I had completed a triathalon or just been run-over. I ended up basically sleeping the entire weekend. And continue to sleep a lot (7-8 hours is a lot for me). I guess I'm making up for the 4-5 average I'd been maintaining for the last 10 months.
I was supposed to meet our Chuck Wolf and his wife last week and his wife broke her arm shortly before we were to meet. I don't know if he mentioned that here (I haven't been keeping up on all the posts) but please send her healing thoughts.
I continue to hold all my DGIV and look forward to the news that should be coming soooon.
In other news, I'm looking at my recent purchase of 2000 square feet of 6 mil polyethylene sheeting, 4 100' rolls of greenhouse repair tape, 300 feet of 240 lb test nylon cordage and 4 pipeclamps, and I'm getting extremely excited about the prospect of building my lighter than air balloon for Burning Man. I expect I'll be catching some major air, leaping tall motorhomes in a single bound. Five days until lift off. I've got room in my Galaxie for anyone that needs a ride from the Portland area. Departure Thursday night.
I hope you are all well. Take care.
Kurt
