Bobby, a major problem with the Japanese economy is not that people don't have enough money, its that they won't spend it! They don't have the social security nets we do (for how long?) to depend on and their ageing population (and their support families) have to be concerned about those expenses. In recent years there has been so much evidence of corruption between their government and business that they don't TRUST them to do the right things for the people. Until that perception is overcome you could start at one end of the islands and rebuild for ever and not solve that problem. There are more disfunctional aspects in their culture and hence economy but to define them and suggestion changes is too difficult on a keyboard. Its still hard but much easier to talk about the symptoms of those problems we all see. Thanks for the URL. Regards, Ron
