i agree on your assessment from a technical perspective. I am just trying to convince myself that it can happen from a fundamental perspective. With the recent troubles overseas and more to come in latin america and canada we (the US) will benefit greatly from the cost of imports. Our raw materials costs should plummet. Also with record low unemployment and baby boomers spending like mad I just have many problems seeing mid 6000s. Possible dip to the mid 7000s followed by a long rebuilding process but the 6000s would really suprise me

Here's my idea for pizza money: We have all heard of the "dogs of the Dow" investment system, where investing 5 or 10 of the top yielding DOW stocks would outperform the DOW. I propose in shorting, (put buying) the poorest yielding bottom DOW stocks and the 200 dma has broken. The premium for Index options are way too expensive, the following stocks have more affordable put option pricing and fit the above criteria:

DIS
KO
AXP
TRV
HWP
PG

Good luck and be careful out there.
