stock bull, on days like we've seen recently you get a lot of day trading and moving of securities from one market maker to another. The point is that it's really impossible to tell how many shares actually changed hands at the end of the day. 2.8% is the absolute maximum it could have been.

In any event, the volume for liquid stocks like Dell, along with all other "technical" indicators, are really meaningless. Watch the company and its prospects. The stock market is noise if you are an investor.
